Just thought I'd make a post welcoming the newest Free Settler - Ravist.

Thank you for taking in a poor apprentice wizard. I look forward to using my magic and new found fascination with essences to assist the company.

Ravist eyes the glowing green beverage suspiciously while thanking Thod and the barkeep. She trusted these folks with her life, surly they wouldn't poison her in the tavern... would they?  Of course not! Not wanting to disappoint her new friends and knowing most recruits likely survive the initiation rituals she raised her glass.

"To the Free Settlers, may we all live to die bravely!"

1d20 + 1 = (11)+1 = 12

 

That wasn't so bad she thought.  A firm pat on the back from Thod, a firm pat on the face from the bar, and a liquid slide to the floor ended her first evening as a Free Settler.
